I love supporting smaller sexual wellness companies so when I got the opportunity to test the Phix Puckish, I was pretty exited. Its an adorable, discreet toy that is great for newbies and pros alike. Plus, like I’ve said before, I’m a sucker for nice packaging, and this toy comes with that, plus some.
The Puckish is made of a silky smooth silicone with a nice ABS plastic gold accent. It is USB rechargeable, which takes about 90 minutes, and the battery apparently lasts up to 6 hours, but I’m sure that entirely dependent on intensity. Speaking of, it has 3 intensity modes on the basic vibration, but it has 12 patterns overall. It is waterproof so washing it and using it in the shower is easy peasy.
I really enjoy the size of the Puckish. It’s only about 7 inches long, with an insertable length of approximately 5 inches. I also love where the motor is located. It’s right at the end, so all g-spot stimulation gets hit with the power and vibrations you need. I also used it as a clitoral vibe and that was pretty nice. Plus, the buttons are really easy to push, which can be both a positive and negative for some people.
The negatives are pretty…negative. The buttons I mentioned before are almost too easy to push and in an awful location for someone with larger hands. The power button is an easy one push on/off and I managed to do that more than once during my testing.
The design of the shaft is also pretty bad. The description says flexible, but I’m used to a nice wiggle or squish, not a full on bend in half. That was definitely something I was concerned with during play. It seemed like there just wasn’t enough support through the middle. You’ll be fine if you’re relatively gentle with it, though.
The vibrations are very powerful and I love it! Unfortunately they are a bit on the buzzy side for me, and might be for others as well. The various patterns are really nice and strong, so finding a pattern that you like shouldn’t be hard. I also found it hard to hold onto after a while, as the vibrations traveled into the grip.
The price of the Puckish is $49, which I feel is too high for this toy. I’ve had much nicer toys in the $30 range. The Puckish is fairly average and the quality is just ok. I love that it’s body safe, water proof, and that it has a really long battery life, but in reality it’s just a glorified dildo.
